Last updated: September 3, 2026

Allowed use

NearbyPro exists to help buyers of lawful, private secondhand goods: matching a buyer with an independent inspector, and exchanging a seller-provided condition record. Use it for everyday items (electronics, e-bikes, tools, appliances, vehicles, and similar goods).

Prohibited items

You may not use NearbyPro in connection with:

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapon parts
  • Prescription drugs, controlled substances, alcohol, tobacco, or vapes
  • Stolen property or property you do not have the right to sell
  • Counterfeit or trademark-infringing goods
  • Recalled or hazardous products
  • Live animals
  • Government-issued documents or IDs
  • Financial instruments, gift cards, or accounts
  • Adult content or any content involving minors

Prohibited behavior

  • Impersonating another person, seller, or inspector
  • Uploading content you do not have rights to
  • Uploading malicious files or attempting to bypass upload validation
  • Scraping, enumerating tokens, or probing other users' records
  • Using records to harass, dox, or defraud anyone
  • Requesting passwords, government IDs, or home addresses through the form

Enforcement

We may remove content, revoke links, and block access for violations. Reports are reviewed through our abuse workflow; see the removal page to report a problem. We are not able to make legal determinations about ownership or authenticity — serious concerns should go to the marketplace where you found the listing and, where appropriate, law enforcement.

NearbyPro matches buyers with independent mechanics and onsite viewers. NearbyPro does not inspect items or guarantee a purchase. Mechanic jobs stay between you and the pro. Paid looks use NearbyPro's look form; we refund if the visit does not happen.
